What is WikiRecording?
WikiRecording is a free audio guide that anyone can edit. Its run on the same engine as Wikipedia and with the same general principles, but with a more specialized focus. Our goal is to provide an accurate and useful guide to all things related to Audio Recording. We host a collection of useful technical terms, equipment descriptions and How To guides that make it easy for anyone interested in Audio Recording to create a product they will be happy with.
The articles are written with the beginner in mind, including explanatory links for all technical and slang words in every article. WikiRecording also intends to provide the seasoned audio professional with in-depth articles on advanced subjects.
Why is WikiRecording Revolutionary?
WikiRecording allow for easier reading, faster searching, and the potential for more complete articles about Audio Recording in one place than has ever been on the web before.
Each of the articles is written by anyone who is interested in writing. Once an article has been written, WikiRecording readers are free to edit and add to the article as they see fit. History
WikiRecording was started in late 2005 by E Jeff Einowski. It is intended to be a place where experienced audio Producers, Engineers, and Artists can share their knowledge and experience with the recording community in an effort to make recording easier and more rewarding for everyone.
The site went live at the beginning of February 2006.
