Talk:Condenser Microphone
From WikiRecording
Hello. This article needs a lot of work. The list of "types" seems to be based on marketing categories rather than technical ones, and quite a bit of popular myth is presented as fact in the text (e.g. the business about "slow" vs. "fast" response). I've started with some cleanup toward the beginning of the article, and would like to invite others to join in, and also to discuss anything here that needs discussing. Large diaphragms regardless of condenser/dynamic from I've known have a larger and heavier diaphragm thus making them slower to react to air/sound pressure levels, and take longer to settle down. no? but i would agree the microphone sections are in big big need of improvement. I know more about mixing and recording techniques so have been focusing more of my energy there. Thanks for helping to begin cleaning it up and contributing. nrs249 06:50, 17 April 2007 (GMT)
