Bio from Jackpot! Recording Studio's Website:
"Jordan Richter is a producer and engineer that has been involved one way or another with sound and music for over 20 years. Born in Milwaukee, WI, Jordan moved to Chicago, IL in 1991 where he played guitar in several touring power pop and punk bands and honed his engineering chops in basement studios. He opened a small project room in 1995 and recorded and produced many indie rock bands and thousands of commercial jingles. In 1997, Jordan relocated to Nashville, TN and worked as a freelance engineer in most of the major recording studios in Music City working with many top recording artists.
In 2001 he opened Roswell East Recording Studios, a mid-sized independent studio catering to artists and producers on of all musical styles . In May of 2006, seeking a change of scenery, Jordan moved to Portland, OR with his wife and son. Jordan now finds a home here at Jackpot! and is becoming actively involved in the Portland music scene producing and recording bands and solo artists such as Caves and Andi Starr. Whether recording classical string quartets or bluegrass bands to speed metal bands or hip hop acts, Jordan is equally comfortable and competent.
