Bus
From WikiRecording
A Bus is a signal path that allows you to route multiple audio signals to a single output. Just think of it like a real bus that carries a bunch of people to the same place. You usually assign a bus in the mixing board in the channel strip. Sometimes these are reffered to as Auxiliary sends (or Aux buses)
Mixing Consoles typically have a number of busses available, including main outs, submix busses, and aux sends. Each channel on the console will have a set of controls that allow you to choose which busses the channel's audio signal should be routed to. or recieve from. Alot of mixing boards will have a routing matrix that allows each channel to send and recieve from any number of buses.
